Investigation of structural characteristics of palm oil clinker based high-strength lightweight concrete comprising steel fibers

The application of waste materials in the concrete composite is a great contribution to preserving natural resources and enhancing sustainable greener development construction industry. This study used Palm Oil Clinker (POC) steel fibers manufacture high-strength lightweight (HSLWC). POC basically byproduct palm oil industry, which was utilized as coarse aggregates supplementary cementitious concrete. noteworthy brittleness lower tensile strain strength HSLWC were overcome by adding hooked end fibers. A total six different mixes varying volume fibers, e.g., 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.0 1.50% prepared. with 0% reference. physical mechanical characteristics HSLWC, such workability, density, compressive splitting strength, modulus rupture (MOR), elasticity (MOE), stress–strain along UPV, sorptivity water absorption test conducted. Compared reference specimen, increased MOR, MOE 19%, 172%, 176% 40%, respectively. Besides, exhibited ductility had enough energy capacity before failure.
